Jazzy’s Gestures is a North Wales based charity dedicated to supporting children and families facing the unimaginable reality of childhood cancer.

Jazzy was just 8 years old when our world turned upside down overnight. After several months of being unwell, we heard the words no parent ever expects to hear “she has cancer.” Within hours, we were told to pack our bags and move to a children’s hospital. You never imagine this happening to your bright, healthy child until it does.

Suddenly, we found ourselves on a ward filled with babies, children, and teenagers all fighting cancer children missing out on normal childhood experiences and facing challenges no child should ever have to endure.
For nearly two and a half years now, Jasmine has been in treatment. Her journey has included multiple chemotherapy regimes, major surgery, MRI scans, weekly blood tests, and countless hospital appointments. When your child is diagnosed, you are thrown into an entirely new world one of medical terms, long days & uncertainty.

Alongside the emotional toll, there is also a significant financial impact on families. Sick pay varies, travel costs add up, hospital stays bring extra daily expenses, and household bills don’t stop. Financial support can take many months to arrange, and sadly not every child qualifies. The pressure can be overwhelming.
Through it all, Jazzy had an idea, she loves days out and is always thinking of somewhere new she wants to go. It was her idea to turn that joy into something meaningful to help other children like her enjoy special days without families having to worry about the cost.

From that idea, Jazzy's Gestures was born.
We raise funds to provide special days out chosen by the child, a place they’re excited to visit, a memory they want to make with costs covered and because we know not every child is well enough to travel, we also offer hospital and home gestures, bringing moments of happiness directly to them.
Every child deserves joy, choice, and something to look forward to even in the middle of the hardest fight of their life.
